To be honest, we are really proud of our "smallest"; namely our miniature sheath thermocouples with an outer diameter smaller than 0.5 mm. They are mainly used where very fast response times with very thin outer diameters are required, such as for temperature measurement of spark plugs or engine test benches. If vibrations and similar mechanical stresses prevent the use of resistance thermometers, the miniature mineral-insulated thermocouples are also the ideal solution.

True miniature marvels
These miniature diameters result in a much faster response time, so that temperature changes can be reacted to more quickly, i.e. with a diameter of 0.5 mm, the response time for direct heat transfer is approx. 25ms - whereas with 0.25mm it is approx. 7ms. A huge difference in the millisecond range. We always deliver manual precision work, because we understand your problem and our craft. Our sheathed thermocouples are manufactured on the basis of mineral-insulated sheathed cables. Manufacture and execution are carried out in accordance with DIN EN 60584.
