Miniature sheathed thermocouples type K.
Small marvels for big tasks.

In pure manual work and on the highest level we manufacture miniature marvels according to DIN EN 60854. These consist of a thermocouple type K and a metal sheath which serves as protection. The sheath thickness for these small diameters is approx. 12% of the total diameter. The two conductors are insulated from each other and from the sheath by highly compressed magnesium oxide. The thermocouple (the two conductors) is made of nickel-chromium and nickel for type K. Our miniature sheath thermocouples are available in the following overall diameters:

Miniature TE°
Extremely fast response times of the thermocouple: With a diameter of 0.5 mm, the response time for direct heat transfer is approx. 25ms - with 0.25mm, on the other hand, it is only 7ms.

  • High temperature resistance
  • Improved service life compared to resistance thermometers under mechanical stress and vibration.
  • Use wherever little installation space/height is available, fast and exact measurement results are required
  • Especially in analysis and medical technology, nanotechnology, experimental and laboratory setups
  • Also good to use as temperature measurement in seals, gaps and bores
