There are numerous connection options for the perfect connection: Depending on your needs, we can supply your thermocouple with a suitable screw connection or plug-in connection - for use in the temperature range up to 200°C or even in the high temperature range up to 650°C.
The miniature connectors have flat contacts and connect sheathed thermocouples or resistance thermometers to thermoelectric cables or mineral insulated sheathed cables. They are particularly suitable for thermocouples with small outer diameters of 0.2-2.0 mm.
The standard connectors have round contacts and, with their solid pins, are suitable for secure connection of thermocouples with medium to large outside diameters of 3.0 -8 mm - even under demanding conditions.
The contacts of the connectors are each made of the same material as those of the thermocouple (type K connector = type K thermocouple), but have a different width to prevent polarity reversal during connection. They are coded according to DIN IEC color coding. Other international color codes e.g. ANSI are available on request.
LEMO® precision connectors for sheathed thermocouples
High-quality push-pull connector for all types of sheathed thermocouples. Can be used in a wide range of different requirements and applications.
A compression fitting is used to securely and tightly connect mineral insulated thermocouple or RTD temperature probe to the temperature sensor. It allows a variable installation depth so that the thermocouple or resistance thermometer can be positioned individually and is ideally suited for transitions in special and closed measuring environments such as vacuum, steam, temperature as well as for a production process with specific active substances.
Compression fittings are made of stainless steel and screwed or welded into the appropriate threaded holes.
Version with stainless steel cutting ring: By tightening the union nut, the cutting ring is pressed into the sheath of the thermocouple and establishes a tight and almost non-detachable connection with the screw-in body and the union nut.
Version with PTFE clamping ring: By tightening the union nut, the clamping ring is pressed against the sheath of the thermocouple and makes a tight connection with the screw-in body and the union nut. The connection is detachable and allows both the thermocouple and the compression fitting to be reused. However, the PTFE clamping ring should be replaced for this purpose.
Also available with PTFE clamping ring on request.
Note: The permissible operating pressure changes with increasing temperature. Depending on the material and the design of the customer's component, the permissible operating pressure may be at 200°C.
For metal cutting rings:
Maximum permissible operating temperature = 650°C
Maximum permissible operating pressure at 20°C = 500 bar
For PTFE clamping rings:
Maximum permissible operating temperature = 200°C
Maximum permissible operating pressure at 20°C = 200 bar
