Sheathed heating conductor with transitionless cold ends

Mineral-insulated sheathed heatsealing bands with transition-free cold ends are among the most important developments in the heatsealing band segment. They consist of two cold ends that merge seamlessly into a heating element. The hot/cold junction is not visible from the outside of the heatsealing band and the sheath, because the outside diameter remains constant throughout.

Depending on the customer-specific heating solution, the temperature development in the cold ends is significantly lower than in the heating section. Sheathed heating cables with transitionless cold ends can be spiraled and mounted in the same way as mineral insulated heating cable material, for example. Due to their constant outer diameter, they are particularly suitable for heating solutions with low installation heights, as well as narrow radii (2-3x outer diameter).

The high temperature resistance of up to 1000°C and their physical and chemical properties enable them to be used in a wide range of industrial heating applications. The transitionless cold ends allow direct connection via stranded wire or ceramic current connection, depending on the application.
