Sheathed heating conductor with seamless cold ends

Mineral-insulated sheathed heating cables with seamless cold ends are among the most significant developments in the heating cable segment. They consist of two cold ends that merge seamlessly into a heating section. The hot/cold transition cannot be seen from the outside of the heating conductor and the sheath, as the outer diameter remains the same throughout.

Depending on the customer-specific heating solution, the temperature development in the cold ends is significantly lower than in the heating part. Sheathed heating conductors with seamless cold ends can be spiralized and installed in the same way as mineral-insulated heating conductor material, for example. Due to their constant outer diameter, they are particularly suitable for heating solutions with low installation heights and tight radii (2-3x outer diameter).

The high temperature resistance of up to 1000°C and their physical and chemical properties allow them to be used in a wide range of industrial heating applications. Depending on the application, the seamless cold ends allow direct connection via a stranded wire or ceramic power connection.
