No flat joke
Mineral-insulated thermocouples with flattened measuring point (VMA/IMA) are required, for example, for temperature measurement on pumps and housings or on test benches - wherever temperature is to be measured in gaps, on surfaces or at low mounting heights. Typical applications are used in mechanical engineering, in the automotive industry, but also in the research and development departments of universities and institutes.
The tip of the thermocouple with the measuring point is flattened in several manufacturing steps so that the contact surface of the thermocouple is enlarged. This facilitates fixing in the corresponding application or stabilizes the connection with a mechanical component.
Of course, we also manufacture mineral-insulated thermocouples with flattened measuring points individually: length and material as well as the design of the measuring point - e.g. sheath-welded or insulated - can be selected variably. Depending on the measuring application, we also additionally mount rings, eyelets or small plates on a mineral-insulated thermocouple.
We always deliver manual precision work, because we understand your problem and our craft. Our sheathed thermocouples are manufactured on the basis of mineral-insulated sheathed cables. Manufacture and execution are carried out according to DIN EN 60584.
