Miniature Sheath Thermocouple with Miniature Connector - Second Image

Miniature Sheath Thermocouple with Miniature Connector

Mineral-insulated miniature sheathed thermocouples with miniature connectors (flat contacts) offer exceptionally fast response times (for a diameter of 0.5 mm, the response time for direct heat transfer is approximately 25 ms—for 0.25 mm, it is only 7 ms). These robust yet exceptionally thin miniature sheathed thermocouples are primarily used in analytical and medical technology, laboratories, and nanotechnology, as well as for temperature measurement in seals, gaps, and boreholes.

Thanks to its low profile, the flat-contact connector is particularly well-suited for use in hard-to-reach areas.

Sheathed cable in accordance with DIN EN 61515; thermocouple (inner conductors) in accordance with DIN EN 60584-1. The flexible, mineral-insulated sheathed cable protects the inner conductors from environmental influences and mechanical stress.

Operating temperature of the measuring point: -200 to +1,300 °C, depending on the selected thermocouple type and the diameter of the sheathed cable.

We can manufacture your miniature sheathed thermocouple with a sensor length (mineral-insulated section) ranging from a few millimeters to 10 meters.

This model is available with a miniature plug or miniature socket upon request. The plug contacts are flat and always match the thermocouple type (e.g., Type K) of the selected sheathed thermocouple.

Available with a plastic connector (200 °C) or a ceramic connector (600 °C), as needed.

Available in types K, J*, N*, E*, and T*.

10 Reasons Why We're the Right Choice for Your Project:

If you need even more precision

The highest standard according to DIN EN 60548 is our minimum requirement when it comes to the quality of our sheathed thermocouples. And if your requirements for the precision of our products and solutions are even higher, our value-added services make all the difference.

If the accuracy of the measurement is important, we calibrate our mineral-insulated sheathed thermocouples using the fixed point or comparison method. This allows deviations within the standard to be determined precisely. Especially when several measuring points are present in applications, it can be important to know the exact deviation of the individual thermocouples. Accordingly, we offer factory calibration as well as DAkkS calibration.

X-ray inspection is a non-destructive and highly precise method for examining and verifying the properties and integrity of materials. This imaging technique can be used to identify defects in installed sheathed thermocouples or heating elements. It is also used, for example, to precisely determine the measurement point, ensuring that the sheathed thermocouple can be installed accurately. Upon request, we are happy to provide our thermocouples with X-ray images, including dimensions and labeling.

The helium leak test is primarily used for components that are used for an application or in a production process that takes place in a vacuum or ultra-high vacuum (UHV). In order to avoid pressure loss in the application, we test welds and screw connections on our sheath thermocouples or heating applications in advance. On request, we can also supply vacuum-compatible products, including a test report, which are ready for immediate use on site.
