Self-adhesive surface thermocouple
Self-adhesive surface thermocouples are used to measure temperature on various surfaces. They consist of the two legs of a thermocouple, which are embedded in a high-temperature-resistant polyimide laminate at the insulated measuring point. The underside of the backing material is coated with a high-temperature-resistant adhesive. This allows them to be attached anywhere where mounting using screws, clamping rings, or drilling is not possible or not desired.
Their low thermal mass and compact design make them ideal for mounting on flat surfaces or round structures. The advantage is that they are resistant to vibrations and offer good heat transfer, a fast response time, and high measurement accuracy.
Intended use: Primarily in the aerospace industry for variable testing of composite structures and for simulations in space, as well as on test benches, electronic components, or for testing environmental conditions.
Self-adhesive surface thermocouples with open ends are designed for custom assembly (soldering on a thermocouple lead).
Surface thermocouple in accordance with DIN EN 60584-2; thermocouple (inner conductors) in accordance with DIN EN 60584-1.
Operating temperature of the measuring point: -100 to +200 °C
Important Note:
We offer these unassembled, self-adhesive thermocouples in packaging units (PU) of 10 pieces. Please keep this in mind when specifying the desired quantity (Quantity 1 = 1 PU).

10 Reasons Why We're the Right Choice for Your Project:
If you need even more precision
The highest standard according to DIN EN 60548 is our minimum requirement when it comes to the quality of our sheathed thermocouples. And if your requirements for the precision of our products and solutions are even higher, our value-added services make all the difference.
If the accuracy of the measurement is important, we calibrate our mineral-insulated sheathed thermocouples using the fixed point or comparison method. This allows deviations within the standard to be determined precisely. Especially when several measuring points are present in applications, it can be important to know the exact deviation of the individual thermocouples. Accordingly, we offer factory calibration as well as DAkkS calibration.
X-ray inspection is a non-destructive and highly precise method for examining and verifying the properties and integrity of materials. This imaging technique can be used to identify defects in installed sheathed thermocouples or heating elements. It is also used, for example, to precisely determine the measurement point, ensuring that the sheathed thermocouple can be installed accurately. Upon request, we are happy to provide our thermocouples with X-ray images, including dimensions and labeling.
The helium leak test is primarily used for components that are used for an application or in a production process that takes place in a vacuum or ultra-high vacuum (UHV). In order to avoid pressure loss in the application, we test welds and screw connections on our sheath thermocouples or heating applications in advance. On request, we can also supply vacuum-compatible products, including a test report, which are ready for immediate use on site.
